After 50 days of fasting and prayer for the 2004 elections in Colorado Springs, CO, a small group of prayer warriors—young and old alike—packed up their sleeping bags and hit Interstate 70 to Washington, DC.
For 31 days they stood at the United States Supreme Court with the word LIFE written raw on a red piece of tape that covered their mouths.
If you go to the Supreme Court today, you will still find a group of people standing strong with LIFE covering their mouths. Every day, through rain, snow, sun and cruel weather conditions, they stand.
Bound4LIFE is a prayer and mobilization ministry made up of intercessors who stand with LIFE tape on their mouths at courthouses and abortion clinics across the nation. We are not angry protesters; instead we make our appeal to the high court of heaven, asking God for justice to roll down like waters.
We seek to mobilize 10 million young people who will wear red LIFE bands. These wristbands serve as a reminder of our covenant to pray for the ending of abortion and to vote only for pro-life candidates.
By wearing this band, we are making a covenant with God by praying a twenty-two word prayer every time we see the red mark on our wrist.
“Jesus, I plead your Blood over my sins and the sins of my nation. God, end abortion and send revival to America.”
The Silent Siege
“Build up a wall! Lay a siege against it! Set your face toward it, and it will be besieged.” (Ez 4)
A Silent Siege is just this—we build up a wall and stand in the gap on behalf of our nation (Ez 22:30). It is an incredible strategy given to us from the Lord by a dream.
The media has taken hold of this image and blasted it all over the nation. It has
become a phenomenon that catches the eyes and hearts of the world. When we
make a stand outside of a courthouse or an abortion clinic, our stand is for life and justice.
When LIFE is written on a piece of red tape and placed on our mouths, we are identifying with the silent screams of the unborn and of those who have no voice.
Our stand is not a protest, but a silent prayer meeting. We make our appeal to the Judge of the earth and ask Him for speedy justice to be released. It is a plea— “Oh, that God would subpoena the conscience of America!”
We dream of the day when all 741 abortion clinics in America will have long lines of people, young and old alike, standing strong on sidewalks praying and fasting with LIFE covering their lips. If 741 churches would rise up and take on one abortion clinic with fasting and prayer, we would see this thing fall in a flash. What if on one day every abortion clinic in America was sieged at the same time, with people praying the same thing? What could happen?
We believe that God will end this culture of death through prayer and fasting.
